What is the absolute WORST gas mileage i could get in a honda civic?

Ok, keep in mind, the oil is always fresh, it’s maintained. What is the WORST gas mileage i could possibly get, if i floored it all the time and revved it really high? And always drove aggresively? Like 20 mpg?

Well, if you also kept it out of gear… Zero.

Closer to 25

I had a 2002 Honda Civic LX manual and I drove similar to that, but on the interstate for most of the miles. I always got around 40 mpg, so I would say…between 30 and 35 mpg.
I really miss being able to fill up for $20 :(
I hope this helps.

20 is probably a good guess.

But it might be better to sell it, get good used Corvette, and enjoy driving a car that doesn’t have to be floored to get going! ;)

20 mpg looks right. I think you could do worse if you always drove in first and second gear, but I don’t suppose anyone actually does that.

to answer your actual ?. 0 would be correct, idle in your driveway….you wont get any milage while the gas burns away…

Look if you are so smart about automobiles why are you asking this question? You must be a blond. Anyway go to http://www.honda.com There you will find information about any Honda product that has been produced.

If you were to repeatedly floor your car from a complete stop, and only drove 100 feet before you totally stopped again, you would only get about 3-4 miles to a gallon.

Well, the answer really depends on many factors. Like are you driving uphill or downhill most of the time? Are you stopping a lot or using your brakes? Are you constantly pressing the gas pedal at full throttle when you’re actually driving it? Are you idling at all? Are you putting it in neutral? Is the weather cold or hot when you are driving it? Do you drive with the windows open or shut? And now what about the car… is it a manual shift or automatic? What kind of tires are installed? How much “stuff” do you have onboard (weight factors into mpg)? Do you have a modded air intake? What brand and type of spark plugs is installed? Are you putting any additives to the fuel or oil? Do you use a magnet to ionize the fuel line? Does it have an intercooled turbo or supercharger installed? How about Nitrous Oxide? Does it have a “Tornado” or similar product installed? Do you have any other mods on the car? These are just a small sample of every factor that can affect how much MPG you can get out of your car. Unless you specify all these variables, I won’t be able to answer your question accurately. Besides, what is the relevence of your question anyway? Is it your way to find a boyfriend that knows more about cars than you do? LOL!!
