NIce review man… HEY PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO OF HOW TIPTRONIC IS USE!!! IT HAS + AND - RIGHT? SO HOW DO YOU MAKE THE CHANGES??
It damn well better, the EPA says it gets nearly the same as its bigger brother, the 6.
I’m not an uber fan of the color, and prefer Silver myself, but its what they had haha :D But my red isn’t like what Dan had here, it’s bright red.
you like the red? i spent a while lookin at these and dint come across too many red hatchbacks…. i just got my self the M3 HB in silver…i love the look of it in white, with tinted windows, or even the rust, but i got the silver for the best deal. what colour you think looks the best? what do you think of the silver and getting the windows tinted?
Yo Dan, I forgot to mention, I’m a proud owner of a Bright red Mazda3 hatchback :) .
I never throw automatics into neutral while rolling.
A good modern automatic will let the revs drop when you take your foot off the accelerator pedal … this is one of the keys to getting great mileage …
Sweet thanks man..
And driving the automatic-manual would be like driving a normal stick right?
Aka: drop the gear when slowing down, coasting into neutral when in heavy traffic, switch to low gear when uphill?
Reason being, I want to drive a stick shift but have to share my car, so I’m really considering this because of the automatic shifters
Highway testing is always with a light foot. Combined testing includes a variety of driving conditions, but again, is done with a generally conservative style. We do floor it when necessary. =)
When they do the driving and the MPG estimates, are they driving conservatively or normal?
because he has an automatic
the mazda 3 always gets better mileage than the epa says
i have this but in silver, yay!!!!
I guess Im not the only one looking at this for a first car
Cause its not a Ferrari, and its a 4 banger with no turbo, what did you expect anyways?
why does the 0-60 seem so slow?
Im hopefully buying a SP23 tomorrow.
They have Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (computer controlled automatic emergency braking protocols), ABS, Drive by Wire, 6 airbags (front head and thorax for both passengers and front and rear curtains as standard). It also has Speed sensitive power steering and electronic assist power steering. It has climate control, very nice interior, advanced dashboard computer and looks great. Only downfall is the pathetic ’spacesaver’ spare tyre.
that’s great to hear, i never thought it would be that efficient
this will be my first car too. it will come out maybe next week..
im considering this as my first car too. they look pretty safe in the crash test.
I’m considering this car as a first car for me, maybe not a new one, but an ‘05 or ‘06.
Are these reliable enough? or safe?
@RaceMeMZ3 I hear that! And no question … I prefer a stick, but nearly every review car that lands here has an automatic. I have my fingers crossed that I’ll have the chance to review a MazdaSpeed3 one day in the near future … =)
You guys should’ve tested the manual! I routinely score 29mpg+ and I’m pretty heavy on the pedals. :)
